Bali’s source of income
Before the existence of tourism, the residents of Bali worked as farmers, plantations, and service providers. Since the arrival of tourism on the island of Bali, many residents have found work in the tourism industry, including art galleries, hotels, restaurants, travel agents, and tourism object managers. As a result, the majority of Bali’s population works in tourism, with only a few working in government, industry, or food. Coffee, copra, spices, vegetables, rice, and cattle are the main crops in the hilly northern coastal regions.
Religion on the Balinese Islands
Our Balinese have deep spiritual roots, and despite the large influx of tourists throughout the year, their culture remains vibrant. The main religion in Bali is Agama Hindhu Dharma, which originated in India. However, the way Hindhu is practiced in Bali differs from that of India because Hindhu in Bali has merged with Buddhist, Javanese, and ancient indigenous beliefs.

Those seeking peace and quiet should visit the more sedate resorts of Sanur, Ubud, Candidasa, and Amed on Bali’s east coast. If you are looking for a five-star hotel, the Nusa Dua area, located on the island’s southernmost peninsula, has many options.
