Dharma Giri Vihara History

The Raja Ashoka monument was finished in 2007, and it has an inscription with a message about diversity. The King Ashoka Monument was finished at the same time that Vihara Dharma Giri had been in this place for ten years. And the foundation wanted to rebuild this monastery by using the empty land around it, which was still being used as a garden at the time. In 2010, the foundation built a multi-story building that served as the office of the temple’s leaders. After the building was finished, plans for building a statue of Buddha Gautama in a sleeping position began in 2010.
