Pemogan Village Collaborates with Honey Money Bali, RTB, and Bro Dewata
DENPASAR, NusaBali.com – During the Covid-19 pandemic, especially during the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM Level 3), there is a need for synergy among various elements of society to help each other.
This situation has prompted the officials of Pemogan Village to collaborate with Honey Money Bali, Barong Tanah Kilap, RTB, and Bro Dewata to carry out social actions such as distributing basic food supplies and vitamins to the affected community and tourism industry, organizing blood donation drives, as well as providing assistance to orphans.
These three social activities took place on Wednesday (21/7/2021) at Barong Tanah Kilap, Griya Anyar Street 25B, Pemogan, West Denpasar. “I am very enthusiastic about the cooperation between Pemogan Village and stakeholders involved in the tourism sector, who are coming together to assist and care for the community, especially in Pemogan Village,” said I Made Suwirya, the Head of Pemogan Village.
In the blood donation drive, in collaboration with the Bali Provincial Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), they successfully collected 39 bags of blood from 51 potential donors. This number of donors significantly increased compared to a similar event three months ago.
“The enthusiasm of the community for compassion and humanity is very high. This can be seen from the comparison between the previous event three months ago and the one held this month, where the number of potential donors has doubled,” said Imanuel Surah, the Blood Donation Coordinator.
Meanwhile, during the donation to the orphans, a Barong Dance performance was also showcased to uplift the spirits of the dancers who have been unable to perform due to the pandemic.
“With the special Barong Dance performance presented exclusively for 30 children from the Orphanage Foundation, we hope to instill a love for arts and culture, especially Balinese culture, which is well-known internationally,” said Nyoman Suwendi, the management representative of Barong Tanah Kilap.
These social activities are actually part of a program carried out every three months by various stakeholders in the tourism sector. However, this time the event was expanded to involve more participants in order to promote the spirit of solidarity and kindness, togetherness.
The involvement of Bro Dewata and Rajawali Trans Bali (RTB) brings a special spirit, as these two stakeholders in the transportation cooperative sector, particularly in Bali, can contribute to the unity and assistance provided to the community in these social activities.
“May this collaboration encourage and unite fellow drivers who are currently heavily affected by the pandemic. Let us join hands and do good together,” said Hendra Djoko Susilo, the Chairman of Bro Dewata, which was supported by Ery Budi Sisworo from Rajawali Trans Bali.
Meanwhile, during the same occasion, the Head of Pemogan Village, I Made Suwirya, also emphasized the importance of adhering to health protocols in order to suppress the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. Made Suwirya also provided education and socialization, urging those who have not yet been vaccinated to do so promptly, aiming to achieve herd immunity on the Island of the Gods.
